I was getting concerned about making it home ok, worrying every minute about the kids. The driver side door was frozen by the time I got off and I had to crawl in from the passenger side. I can tell you that all night long we fought to stay warm even though the heat was working. The chill was so consuming.
I was glad to have today off so I didn't have to go back out. It is getting better as the front is moving on and out. I just pray everyone is and will be ok. I heard today that the old record was broken for the coldest day back in 1884. The windchill got down to 49 below zero in Lewisburg, Ohio.
What so odd about this whole week is by the weekend, it will be close to 50.
My daughter is now drinking less of the ensure and eating more food which is good. It has been a long time since she has done that.
I got thinking about all the good things that have happened so far this new year! There are some anniversaries that will be coming up. The class of 1974 will be celebrating forty years out of school. Sadly so will the Xenia Tornado tragedy from The Super Outbreak of April 3 rd and 4th.
It it so hard to believe it has been that long.
There was good things in 1974, we have learned and grown so much from then.
