Thank You For Being So Caring!

I have very few memories of my Grandma Sarah E Havens, some good and some sad.  She was in a wheel chair from 1974-1976 when she passed.  I still remember that old brown Chevy Stationwagon Grandpa Havens used to haul the wheel chair around for grandma.  After she died, he got rid of the car because it was so painful for him to drive re living those memories.
My sister tells a story of how grandma used an old tackle box as a first aid kit and when any one of us had a mishap , she was there to provide care.   Parents by instinct have a built in doctor mode inside them whenever their child is injured or hurting.   When my mom was looking for me, they lived with my grandparents in that two-story old farm house, my mom and aunts grew up in.
During her pregnancy my mom became very ill and started to go into pre-mature labor there at the house.  Instead of being born in January, like I was supposed to, here I was coming on my Grandma Sarah Havens birthday and like my grandma always did, she was there to help.  So, grandma became a mid-wife right there.  Who would of thought years later, that my mom would return the favor by helping her.
The sad memories but precious one were of my mom caring for her mother after a stroke had taken grandma's speech and walking.  Bathing and feeding her.  I remember taking speech therapy along with grandma.
So many times, we take for granted of those who care for us and I just wanted to take the time out to say thank you to all the care-providers, mothers, grandmothers and parents who everyday make it their number one priority to care for those in need, whether a patient or a child...thank you with deep appreciation and love!
