''Do It Again"

         I really dislike driving in Columbus, especially on  I 71.  Taking my daughter to her check-ups at Children's, the shortest way is taking 23 to Polaris Parkway to 71 South.  Today the rain was coming down pretty hard.  The over spray makes seeing in traffic terrible to top it off there was a traffic tie-up causing it to come to a stop.  What really stunk was I was running on time.   That didn't happen after that.
        My daughter and I love to listen to the radio, today I decided to give my "BOSTON" CD a break.  My habit is flipping through the channels to find my favorite songs.  I had picked her up from track practice.  I was real thrilled that she has made the 200 meter and the Long Jump.  She got her track sweatshirt today too.  As we turned onto Polaris Parkway from 23, they were taking calls to win tickets to see "Boston" August 23 at The LC.  I told my daughter, I'd love to win the tickets, trouble was I didn't know where it was.
       Turning on 71 is a pain because all the way down on Polaris you have to hop-scotch over to the farthest right lane.  The gray mist didn't help much with the driving rain but here we were going once again to Children's when "Do It Again" by Steely Dan came on...how fitting, I thought, were the words "Back Jack..Do It Again...Wheels Turn Round and Round."   It kinda lifted the mood in the car when we came to a stand still.  Its funny how some song just come on the radio.."Do It Again" was followed by "Crazy On You" by Heart , "Wheel In The Sky" By Journey and "Power Of Love" By Huey Lewis And The News.

      Everything came out great at my daughter's check-up, Dr Cottill was real pleased, I was smiling from ear to ear as I told showed the doctor her track sweatshirt   The only trouble was drawing my daughter's blood, they couldn't get it. Like me, she is a difficult one to find a vein on, so next time when she comes in to Dr. Cottrill , my daughter will have to drink plenty of water and dress warmly...we will have to "Do It Again" next time.  We just need to get mom's numbers "Good" again!
