A Nice Surprise But Sad One.

       After getting the kids off to school this morning, I decided to go back to bed because I still feel bummy from this flu.  A knock came to my door with my dog Murphy being overly excited, woke me up, I knew it was someone he already knew himself.  I peered out the window to see if there was a car parked beside mine and to my surprise it was my sister's vehicle.
       Normally, my sister's day off is on Wednesdays. so being Thursday, I knew something was up.
After working for this company, a company that started out as Columbus Serum Company to Patterson, for 17 years, they eliminated my sister's position in marketing.  I gave my sister a hug as I knew it hurt her deeply.    My sister is one of hardest working people I ever knew and who always gave me encouragement to go on.
       All the ladies that she worked with, most of them along with my sister were given the let-go today.  They are all such wonderful people and as such, didn't deserve to be let down.
       Gosh, I wish there was something that could be done for people who been so devote to their jobs believing that what they do makes a difference in this world.
      I keep remembering how it is said "It was so much easier when we were younger."
While I guess that is true, I guess another facet of that statement should be added "But we know so much more"
     To my sister and all those wonderful people who had been with this company for many years..I want to let you know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers today.
     Especially for my sister !
