"The Magic Hour"

    I always look forward to going to my kids band and choir performances.  My daughter is the only one, out of all the grand kids to take choir.  My son and daughter both are in band so last night they both had a concert at the Olentangy High School Auditorium, the highschool built shortly after my graduating class of 1985.  Now the count of Olentangy High Schools keeps growing but at least I know where this High School is at...right behind the old Shanahan Olentangy where when I was a girl it went through grades K-12.
   My mom got into the habit of asking what time the school had the kids perform, then eventually she called it "The Magic Hour" because every one of their concerts , whether band or choir are at 7pm.
   This always brings a smirk on both my son and daughter's face.
    For this blog, I only have "The Olentangy Marching Band Of Pride" performance with my son playing the trumpet on Youtube,  the name of the band came from my brother's band class of 1984.

This 2013 football game was against Olentangy and Olentangy Liberty( Same district but just across the river..they are rivals.) This game was played at The Olentangy High School (85) built behind Shanahan.
