Helping Hands

I am so happy to find a job right next to my son and daughter's school.  Its a load off of my mind that I will be working beside them, especially with my daughter having anorexia.  I think back on everyone who had helped me get the help I needed for my daughter.  Everyone at Delaware Pediatrics got the process moving, so I want to thank everyone, in particular my daughter's doctor, she has been really helpful and supportive.

I mentioned how so very excited I am to have a job at Krogers, right next to the school.  The school accommodated my daughters needs to what she needed to eat and drink at school.  I share this information because it has helped tremendously with my daughter's road to recovery .  So if anyone is struggling with this issue and is looking for a channel of support, this is great.  My daughter's counselor worked with the doctor, nurse and nutritionist over at Children's Hospital to set up a "Watch" so to speak to make sure that my daughter was drinking her Ensure, water and eating her granola bar as instructed, supervised by the school nurse.  I am proud to say that this team are all fantastic and gifted ladies

Today I found out that my daughter will have a therapist added to the mix to help.  Who doesn't appreciate a little more help along the way.  It is sort of Ironic that I will work in the produce department cutting up fruit. For those first months, that was all my daughter was eating was fruit. She argues with me but I do believe she is a vegetarian , she hasn't touched meat for several months now.  She gets her protein from bars, shakes and yogurt.   It is almost like she is taking her very first steps, like she did when she was a baby.  As long as it is forward, that is all that matters.  I can tell you that patience is the key and constant persistence, but more importantly, love and understanding most of all.
My love and prayers to you all!
